Eligibility requirements in the US citizenship process.

It is generally required from every applicant that they can read, write, and speak Basic English and that they have some knowledge of US history and government. Reading, writing, and speaking is tested in the English section whereas the civics test will have important U.S. history and government topics.

To pass the reading section, you should be able to read one sentence correctly out of the three given. To prove that you have the writing ability, you are required to write one out of three sentences correctly and of course, your speaking ability will be checked by the way you communicate or answer the questions. In the civics section, there are 100 questions. From the list of 100, you will be asked around 10 questions out of which you should answer at least six questions correctly to pass this section. If you are not able to pass any of the sections of the test, within 90 days you will be tested again on the same section of the test that you failed.
